one-point

Lately I have became aware of Stanley Kubricks one point perspective, it was brought to my attention by a good friend (I hope he doesn't mind me calling him that) it became apparent when he was looking at some photos I was posting online, he suggested I watch the film below.

it got me thinking about the process of cycling and what if anything we get from it, as a leisure activity it obviously brings us great health benefits and connects us with our surrounds, whether on or off road, there is a connection to the land that I fail to get from an automated vehicle. but more importantly it got me thinking about that never ending point on the horizon, it is always there always luring us forward. as a sport, we are driven by the lure of the finish line but what lies beyond that line is a another start, relentless.
